West Valley City – THE JOINT CHIROPRACTIC opened a new clinic at 5567 W. High Market Drive, Ste. K-300 in West Valley City. The Joint in West Valley City is a franchise of The Joint Corp.
Salt Lake City – U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES’ Program Support Center (PSC) is opening an office in Salt Lake City and restoring the historic Frank E. Moss building in the process. PSC is the largest multi-functional shared services provider to the federal government. Hosted by HHS, PSC offers over 40 services in five key markets: administrative operations, financial management, occupational health, procurement and real estate and logistics. PSC is consolidating 10 offices into one satellite location in Salt Lake City to provide enhanced support services not only to HHS, but all federal agencies nationwide.
Tooele – CABELA’S INCORPORATED began operations at the company’s new 600,000-square-foot Tooele distribution center located at Ninigret Depot. The state-of-the-art facility processes freight and delivers products to Cabela’s consumers and retail locations throughout the United States, primarily serving the Western states. Cabela’s has hired more than 180 employees to staff the location. Additionally, the company expects to add more full-time, part-time and seasonal staff, most of whom will come from Tooele and the surrounding area.
Salt Lake City – FIT TO RECOVER (FTR), a nonprofit sober gym and community center, installed the state’s first climbing wall dedicated to helping people maintain recovery from drugs and alcohol. Corporate sponsor PETZL FOUNDATION provided seed funding and MOMENTUM CLIMBING donated the labor and materials for the wall, located inside FTR’s 5,500-square-foot facility.
Salt Lake City – The UTAH SUICIDE PREVENTION COALITION launched a new statewide campaign for working-aged men to erase the stigma surrounding mental health. Man Therapy reshapes the conversation, using humor to cut through stigma and tackle issues like depression, divorce and even suicidal thoughts head on.
Salt Lake City – INDUSTRIAL SUPPLY COMPANY recently remodeled its Wellness Center. The updated Wellness Center will provide employees and their families with the opportunity to use a variety of the latest gym equipment in an environment equipped with TVs and a sound system, and participate in organized yoga and aerobics classes offered biweekly.
Salt Lake City – CUSHMAN & WAKEFIELD | COMMERCE closed negotiations for the successful purchase of a downtown parcel and future site of the boutique, 251,810-square-foot Regent Street Hotel. The site is located at the east corner of 200 South and Regent Street, directly north of downtown’s Gallivan Center. Phillip Eilers, international business and industrial specialist with Cushman & Wakefield | Commerce, represented the buyer, Regent 200 LLC.

Salt Lake City – NEWMARK GRUBB ACRES (NGA) announced the sale of the IDS Fulfillment & Distribution Center to Industrial Property Trust (IPT). Situated in Ninigret Park, this 207,490-square-foot Class A building is located on 14 acres at 1711 S. 4650 West. NGA Executive Vice Presidents Zach Anderson and Bryce Blanchard represented both IPT and the seller, The Ninigret Group, in this transaction.
Salt Lake City – U.S. BANK is investing $4 million into the rehabilitation of a former pasta manufacturing warehouse into Artspace Macaroni Flats, a residential, commercial and artist studio space. After sitting vacant for a decade, the century-old building is being rehabbed with $4 million in equity raised from state and federal historic tax credits and federal New Markets Tax Credits. It will have 13 below-market-rate apartments and more than 5,000-square-feet of commercial space for artists, cultural organizations, nonprofits and small businesses.
Salt Lake City – Best College Reviews, a ranking service for American colleges and universities, released a list of the top 50 College Arboretums. Red Butte Garden at the UNIVERSITY OF UTAH was ranked at No. 28 for its award-winning displays.
South Jordan – POWER SELLING PROS, a customer service and call handling training company, developed a new CSR certification program to help companies deliver a consistent, positive customer service experience. Based on a set of principles called The Pattern for Excellence, the certification process guides call handlers through greeting, rapport development, reassurance, building confidence, booking the appointment and call closure.
