Draper – ORTHO DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION received FDA clearance for the Alpine Hip Stem, the latest addition to its hip replacement product line, which is intended for use in total hip arthroplasty and hemiarthroplasty procedures.
Salt Lake City – METASOURCE, LLC acquired MORTGAGE COMPLIANCE ADVISORS, LLC, headquartered in Salt Lake City.
Salt Lake City – OVERSTOCK.COM announced it plans to bring 333 IT jobs to Salt Lake County over the next 10 years. The jobs were previously contracted out of state. The company signed an incentive agreement with the GOVERNOR’S OFFICE OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT.
Salt Lake City – INDUSTRIAL SUPPLY COMPANY donated tools to HABITAT FOR HUMANITY after nearly all the tools were stolen from one of the organization’s major construction sites.

Salt Lake City – VARIAN MEDICAL SYSTEMS broke ground on new construction to expand its Salt Lake City manufacturing facility. The company expects the expansion to ultimately lead to 1,000 new full-time jobs in the state over the next 20 years.
West Jordan – BC TECHNICAL, a provider of non-OEM medical imaging solutions, acquired Polaris Medical Imaging, a company that sells, services and installs GE MRI and CT scanners.
Taylorsville – SALT LAKE COMMUNITY COLLEGE was awarded part of more than $17.3 million offered by NASA’s Office of Education with the goal of increasing student and faculty engagement in science, technology, engineering and mathematics at community colleges and technical schools.
Salt Lake City – PLURALSIGHT closed $135 million in Series B funding, bringing the company’s total funding to nearly $165 million to date. This minority round was led by investor Insight Venture Partners.
