Lindon—KT Health, LLC, parent company to KT Tape and the leading producer of kinesiology tape and related sports medicine products in the retail market, announced this week that marketing veteran Russell Schleiden has joined the company as Chief Marketing Officer. Schleiden joins KT Health with a wealth of experience in branded marketing on behalf of several Fortune 500 companies including Kraft Foods, Hostess Brands, Miller Brewing Company and Dr. Pepper Snapple Group. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Marketing at Talking Rain/Sparking ICE where he created its brand strategy, vision, product innovation and grew sales of the beverage brand from $80 million to $500 million. He also led all aspects of marketing including brand marketing; customer marketing; trade marketing; field marketing and events; customer service and new product innovation. Prior to that role, he served as Director of Marketing for Hostess Brands where he led the development of a new Hostess Direct business that created a new direct-to-market operating business for Hostess Brands. In his new role, Schleiden will be responsible for developing and driving the brand’s marketing strategy along with growing sales both domestically and abroad. He will also manage the brand’s partnerships with current athlete endorsers Kerri Walsh-Jennings and James Harden, look to increase endorsers and oversee the field marketing team which includes all events and trade shows where the brand will have a presence. Additionally, he will work with and expand the brand’s stable of retailer partners and oversee a roll out of new products in 2016. A West Point graduate, Schleiden spent six years in the United States Army as an Army Officer, and helicopter pilot. He is an avid sports enthusiast and has two daughters.
Salt Lake City—Bear River Mutual Insurance Company has promoted Michelle Kissell to agency director. Kissell has worked at Bear River Mutual Insurance for 20 years, most recently as senior underwriter. She is replacing Sheila Stensrud as agency director. Stensrud is retiring in January 2016 after being with the company since 1970. Bear River Mutual Insurance Company celebrated its 100-year anniversary in 2009 and is currently the largest Utah-based auto and home insurance company.
Salt Lake City—American Business Lending, Inc. (ABL), a Dallas-based, non-bank participant in the Small Business Administration (SBA) 7(a) lending program, has announced the addition of Charles “Charlie” Meyers to its lending staff. Meyers joins ABL as Vice President and Business Development Officer, and will be based in the Salt Lake City area of Utah. His primary role will be to originate SBA 7(a) real estate secured loans on a national basis. Meyers has particular expertise in the Assisted Living Facility industry, having financed over 60 facilities. His years of banking and business development experience will allow him to streamline the lending process for his clients.
Salt Lake City—Renowned commercial real estate company Newmark Grubb ACRES (NGA) welcomes Senior Vice President Jill Snyder to their industry-leading brokerage team. Snyder brings over 14 years of real estate experience with an extensive market knowledge of both Summit and Wasatch counties. Snyder’s comprehensive real estate knowledge is not only limited to the brokerage side of the industry; she also has experience on the operations side, successfully managing office operations and all marketing initiatives for previous brokerage houses while simultaneously carrying out her responsibilities as an agent. Outside of real estate, Snyder has a strong sense of commitment to both professional and civic organizations. She makes it a priority to find time outside her busy work and personal life to serve as a member of the Park City and Heber City Chamber of Commerce, as well as the Heber City Main Street Alliance.
West Valley City—SilencerCo announced this week that founder and CEO Joshua Waldron has been named to the Congressional Sportsmen's Foundation (CSF) Board of Directors. Waldron will serve a three-year term, which will continue into 2018. SilencerCo has long been a supporter of the CSF and is a Titanium Level Sponsor along with organizations such as the National Rifle Association, Smith & Wesson, and the Sportsman Channel. This high-level of commitment to the CSF along with Waldron’s appointment to the Board of Directors underscores SilencerCo’s dedication to working with Congress, governors, and state legislatures to protect and advance hunting, angling, recreational shooting, and trapping. Waldron will begin his three-year term in January.
Salt Lake City—Zions Bank announces new financial consultants that have joined Zions Wealth Advisors at Zions Bank in Salt Lake Valley. Dan Larsen, Bryan “B.Y.” Wells, AJ Kapinos and Jonathan Spencer will help Zions Wealth Advisors grow and expand its depth of investment services while also allowing it to continue its tradition of offering personalized, unbiased guidance to clients. Larsen has 15 years of experience in the banking industry, including consumer lending and retail branch management. He has also worked in the investment industry, working with clients to build and manage investment portfolios and service their financial needs. Larsen is located in downtown Salt Lake City. Wells has worked for several firms as a financial planner and business development officer for a private client group of a national bank. He brings 15 years of financial industry experience and is located at the Foothill financial center in Salt Lake City. Kapinos brings 14 years of financial industry experience and specifically assists physicians with their investments, insurance and planning needs from the simple to complex. Kapinos is located in the Zions Med office in Murray. Spencer previously worked as an associate financial advisor at Key Investments and as a senior branch manager as well as an area president at Wells Fargo Bank. He brings 14 years of financial services experience and is based in the South Towne financial center.
