The Governor’s Office of Economic Development promoted BRETT HEIMBURGER to director of its International Trade and Diplomacy Office. GOED also hired two new trade coordinators, DANIEL LEIFSON and NATHAN LAMBSON, and hired five Utah trade representatives: CYNTHIA CHEN, China; CHRISTINA HERNANDEZ, Mexico; THOMAS SCHUCK and ANNA DERSCHANG, European Union; and URI ATTIR, Israel.
Visit Salt Lake’s SCOTT BECK began a term of service as board chair of the Destination Marketing Association International. Beck has been a member of the group since 2005.
Salt Lake Community College named JOANNE WRIGHT dean of the School of Health Sciences. Wright has held faculty positions at several major universities, including the University of Utah.
The Utah Board of Regents appointed DENEECE G. HUFTALIN as the eighth president of Salt Lake Community College. Huftalin had served as the interim president of SLCC since January.
ART COLEY, JR. resigned as president and CEO of AlphaGraphics, Inc. He will remain as a part owner and will work with the company as a full-time consultant. GAY BURKE, executive chair of the AlphaGraphics board, is now serving as interim president.
Dental Select promoted MIKE NELSON to chief underwriting officer. He will provide underwriting leadership and risk management expertise.
TJ ENGLAND was appointed vice president and general counsel of C.R. England. He will take over leadership of the company’s legal department from NELSON HAYES, who has served in the role since 1993. England has been the deputy general counsel and director of corporate compliance since April 2013.
Ragnar Relays hired KEN JACQUIN as CFO. He was previously a partner with Dolphin Capital Partners and has been a Ragnar board member since 2008.
AtTask hired JOE STAPLES as its new chief marketing officer. Staples was previously CMO at Interactive Intelligence for nine years.
Domo appointed BRUCE FELT as its CFO. For almost six years, Felt was CFO of SuccessFactors.
KEVIN J. WORTHEN became president of Brigham Young University. Worthen has worked as the university’s law school dean and its vice president of advancement. He replaces outgoing president CECIL O. SAMUELSON.
SkyWest Airlines promoted TRACY GALLO to vice president of flight operations. Gallo succeeds KLEN BROOKS, who retired after 40 years with the airline. Gallo has more than 20 years in flight operations.
Brian Head Resort named KRISTA WIEKAMP as sales and marketing manager. Wiekamp was previously marketing manager for Zion Adventure Company and the Town of Brian Head.
HAL ANDERSON, Soltis Investment Advisors president and CEO, and KIM ANDERSON, vice president of retirement plan services, were appointed positions in the National Association of Plan Advisor’s Government Affairs Committee.
